Dinner Time Is Family Time
When I was growing up, we all sat down at the dinner table, shared conversations, and that was the time we would voice our concerns or problems to our parents. It was also a time that we were not to bring books, magazines or toys to the table. It was dinner time and time my parents and us enjoyed spending together.
Now that I have a family of my own, this is one thing I still do, we sit down and eat dinner together without phones or anything at the table. I make sure we all disconnect from the internet and spend time talking and this is where we #FindYourBOLD!
I want my children to know that we are open to any conversation topic, I don’t want them to think anything is forbidden, if they have a concern, I want them to let us know. This has helped them open up more and let us know what is going on in their life.
