This is a recipe I have been making for my family for years. Not only is it a simple recipe, it calls for just a few basic ingredients and less than an hour of your time. Done right, the chicken will come out tender and juicy with a crisp, cheesy coating. Serve with a salad and sides, and your family will be begging you to make it again!
Prep. time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 40 – 45 minutes
Servings: 6 to 8
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 – 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
6 to 8 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
Directions
Rinse the chicken well, then pat dry with a paper towel.
In a shallow, microwave safe bowl, add the butter and melt completely.
In another shallow dish, combine the bread crumbs, Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese and mix well.
Dip each chicken breast first in the butter mixture, then in the crumb mixture, making sure to completely coat both sides.
Place in an ungreased baking pan. Drizzle with any remaining butter mixture.
Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until the juices run clear and a meat thermometer reads 170°.
