Our homes are amazing places, but a little neglect can create some seriously frustrating issues within them.
Leaky pipes can rust and create mold in areas where there shouldn’t be any. Water leaks can rupture ceilings; weak walls can ensure hanging valuables fall and break and breaking brickwork can bring chills into the home. Honestly? These issues are the last thing anyone wants to see or try and tackle after they get home from a hard day at work – or back from the park with the kids.
Issues in the household build up if we ignore them, choose not to fix them or decide that it’s either out of our remit to solve them, or that we lack the skills to fix the issue.
All of these things blocking you from solving issues in the home can be fixed – just like the issue in the home. If you’re ignoring issues – get a grip, it might build into something bigger and ruin your investment into the home. If you’re choosing not to fix an issue, what are you doing? Do you value your property and comfort? If you’ve decided it’s out of your remit, then you must be renting. If you lack the skills, you can get plenty of advice on any problem from an infestation to a faulty light bulb if you consult the correct people or sources.
No matter who you are, if you’re a homeowner – you need to boss your household and fix issues. Every man and woman who has a investment into a building that they call home needs to take household issues seriously and fix them where and when they can. Thanks to the internet, there’s no excuse not to get your hands dirty.

A wrench can help with most plumbing issues and it’s worth getting an adjustable version that can handle a multitude of bolts. If you’ve got a problem with drains, sinks and other pipes – a wrench is your best bet.

There are plenty of serious power tools on offer as well, but it’s likely you won’t need these. However, don’t be afraid to research and purchase them if you need them.
