The other day, I was ready to make my usual breakfast smoothie when I realized that I had no more bananas. I kept on fussing around the kitchen, trying to figure out what to do. Then, I stumbled upon some avocados and immediately, I knew it would the perfect alternative, Blueberry and Avocado Smoothie!
My smoothies usually consist of dairy products, but I am proud to say that this one is dairy-free. I was never a huge fan of coconut water but now, I adore adding it to my morning drinks. It gives it a tropical vibe while still staying very healthy.
What kind of smoothies do you enjoy? Between the blueberries, pineapples, and avocado in this one, which is your favorite ingredient?
1 cup frozen wild blueberries
½ cup frozen pineapple chunks
1 ripe avocado
1 cup coconut water
2 tbsp honey
Coconut flakes for garnishing
Yields: 1 serving
Add blueberries, avocado, banana, and coconut water in the blender and blend until smooth.
Add honey (you can add less or more, depending on your taste preference) and blend some more.
Pour into glass and top with coconut flakes.

Anything with avocado makes me so happy! I haven't used them in smoothies nearly enough. This sounds like a great way to start the day!
