Narrowing down only five things to do in the entertainment capital of the world can be a daunting task. With hundreds of tourist attractions, there is always something to do and see in Los Angeles. It is the only city in North America to have hosted the Summer Olympics twice and will be adding onto that record in 2028. With over 10 million residents, Los Angeles surpasses the population size of all states except California, Texas, New York, and Florida. Whether you want to travel by car or utilize a Los Angeles charter bus, there is no excuse to miss out on all that this beautiful city has to offer.

Runyon Canyon Park

One of the hidden gems in Los Angeles, Runyon Canyon Park sits just two blocks north of Hollywood Boulevard. On top of the canyon, tourists can expect beautiful views of the San Fernando Valley, Pacific Ocean, Hollywood Sign, and the Griffith Observatory. There are many hiking trails for you to tackle and don’t be surprised if you see a celebrity — it’s one of their favorite exercise spots.

No staff is around the trails, so be sure to bring plenty of water as it can get really hot and dry throughout the canyon. If you are hiking alone, be sure to notify someone of when you expect to return to ensure your safety. The park has picnic tables, a children’s play area, a nature center, plenty of cute dogs, and some limited parking available.

Santa Monica Pier and Beach

Santa Monica is home to one of the most popular beaches in the United States. The perfect place to have dinner at an award-winning restaurant followed by a beautiful walk along the pier. Three miles of shoreline will leave you breathless between the soft sand, endless attractions, and perfect weather. Santa Monica offers the ideal opportunity to take in the sights while exercising. We recommend you explore Santa Monica by bicycle. Enjoy one of the most scenic 26-mile rides you’ll ever experience as you bike along the Pacific Ocean. Take in the sights from above on the ferris wheel at the Santa Monica Pier followed by some great people watching at the Third Street Promenade pedestrian mall. Take it one step further and see the beach out on the water with Los Angeles yacht rentals! This would give you an experience that you, your friends and family would never forget!

Hollywood Walk of Fame and TCL Chinese Theater

The TCL Chinese Theater is one of the most iconic sites to visit in Los Angeles. Opened in 1927, the TCL Chinese Theater exemplifies Hollywood’s Golden Age. Visitors can tour the theater for under $20, but should reserve their tour online due to the attraction’s popularity. Located in a hectic part of Los Angeles along Hollywood Boulevard, this area is essentially the Times Square of LA.

When visiting the TCL Chinese Theater, take some time to stroll along the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This lengthy stretch of Hollywood Boulevard allows tourists to see and photograph hundreds of movie stars who have left their handprints and signatures on the star-studded sidewalk. Guided tours are available, but tourists should expect this to be a crowded area at all times of the day.

The Original Farmers Market and The Grove

Located south of West Hollywood stands one of LA’s most beloved landmarks. Founded in 1934, The Original Farmers Market pulls people in from all over the world to taste their fresh produce and ready-to-eat snacks. People enjoy the tasty dishes offered by the prepared food vendors. The Market can be crowded, so visitors should expect to wait in line for the more popular spots.

Next door to The Original Farmers Market is The Grove. The ideal contemporary shopping experience for locals and tourists alike — The Grove includes a massive variety of dining options, shopping attractions, a movie theater, and plenty of special events. Visitors love the trendy atmosphere of The Grove. Between The Original Farmers Market and The Grove, visitors can fill their with fun, food, and shopping!

Sunset Boulevard

When visiting Los Angeles, it’s difficult to not end up on Sunset Boulevard. Connecting downtown Los Angeles to Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and the Pacific Coast Highway, the palm tree-lined street maintains its early cinematic appeal. The Sunset Strip stretch of the boulevard is home to some of the most popular nightlife spots. Check out The Roxy Theatre and Whiskey a Go Go, two of the world’s most historic music venues.

If you get the chance, drive down Sunset Boulevard and enjoy the fantastic sunsets that can be enjoyed during a late afternoon drive. It wasn’t named Sunset Boulevard by accident! Because of its popularity, tourists should expect this to be a congested area, but you can’t experience Los Angeles without driving down down it at least once.

So Much to See and Explore
