5 Reasons Why Everybody Should Experience Vegas

What happens in Vegas should stay in Vegas but inevitably, the gossip is spread all over social media – however, there are still some secrets left to reveal. Read on to find out more.

5 Reasons Why Everybody Should Experience Vegas

Las Vegas, built for pleasure in 1905, has been a go-to resort for flamboyant poker players since then; after every world event, Vagas has been there to open its doors to anyone needing a break from the norm and a boost to flagging spirits.

Right now, post-pandemic Vegas will do it all over again.

Here are five excellent reasons why everybody should experience Vegas.

1 – Vegas is Hot

While that sounds obvious, it’s one of the town’s most attractive features, hot in temperature and hot and spicy in the atmosphere, especially on the strip.

Boasting some of the best food in Nevada, Vegas is home to the iconic Top of the World (TOTW) restaurant, located in the SkyPod, The Strat Hotel.

There’s a reason TOTW has been the recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for the last 24 years.

The restaurant has a fantastic view; the dining room revolves 360 degrees every 80 minutes (not for anyone suffering seasickness).

If you love steak and seafood and you want one of the best dining experiences in Vegas, then this is your date night restaurant; don’t blame us if your life changes forever.

Visiting Vegas must include a stint in the casino; otherwise, you may as well go to Hollywood. Many famous people either own a share in some of the top venues or spend their cash there.

2 – Resorts Loved by the Stars

Caesars Palace is one of the oldest, most established hotel chains, built in the swing 60s and made into a presidential home during Barack Obama’s stay. If it’s good enough for Barack, it’s good enough for us.

The foul-mouthed chef and British celebrity Gordon Ramsey has a restaurant at Caesars, but that’s nothing to shout about as he has restaurants all over the world.

Go if you must; hopefully, he won’t be in town that night – no one wants a side of profanity with their roast beef.

The Hard Rock Park Hotel has long been a favored hangout for celebrities. The venue has several features, including a unique 4,000-seat concert hall where A-list performers frequently perform.

Brad Pitt stayed at the resort in 2009 as part of a family vacation. Paris Hilton stayed at the hotel later that year when filming the second season of her own MTV reality show; since then Paris has realized that reality TV is for young people and now has a grown-up job in the cloakroom (we made that up, swear there’s a look-alike checking coats)

Another popular Vegas casino is the Palazzo Resort Hotel. Joaquin Phoenix performed some songs at one of the Palazzo’s nightclubs. Phoenix’s performance was videotaped as part of a documentary on the artist’s musical history by Casey Affleck, Ben Affleck’s brother.

At a Palazzo nightclub, Katy Perry and one of Paris Hilton’s ex-boyfriends were also sighted.

Last but not least, the Palazzo attracted the attention of celebrities Carrie Underwood, who held her bachelorette party there, and Lauren Conrad, who celebrated her birthday at the Palazzo.

3 – Shop Till You Drop

Sightseeing and shopping at the same time, what’s not to love?

The Venetian Resort’s grand canal shopping experience offers over 160 distinctive boutiques and renowned luxury brands.

The Venetian is home to more than a dozen world-class and award-winning restaurants and bars.

With daily live entertainment, romantic gondola rides, and a brilliant waterfall and garden in the iconic Atrium, you can fill up on shrimp while buying an entirely new wardrobe – hello, luxury lifestyle!

4 – Visit the Film Sets

Thousands of films have featured Las Vegas hotels over the years.

You can go on a tour to get the details, but here are a couple of such instances just to get started.

‘Miss Congeniality,’ featuring Julia Roberts, was filmed at the Venetian in 2005; ‘Ocean’s Eleven,’ featuring Brad Pitt, was filmed at the Bellagio and Caesars Palace.

The Planet Hollywood Resort hosted Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz in the 2008 film “What Happens in Vegas,” and filmmakers featured Bally’s Las Vegas in “Honeymoon in Vegas” with Nicolas Cage.

The setting, Las Vegas, will be familiar to fans of the video game “Grand Theft Auto.”

Overall, Las Vegas has developed its unique culture for various reasons, and most of those reasons you can see at the movies.

5 – Las Vegas Plays all the Music

Without Las Vegas, many prominent rock stars and performers would not be where they are today. If you want to understand what makes Vegas tick, you should go down the music heritage route.

Liberace, the pianist, and singer established a concert residency, which was unusual. A series of concerts established his career and paved the way for others to follow in his footsteps, which is still going strong today.

Unfortunately, many of the original type hotels are no longer in operation.

However, it is worthwhile to visit the historical sites of these locations to absorb all of the historical feelings—for instance, The Riviera Hotel, which opened to tremendous acclaim on the strip in 1955.

Liberace was dubbed “Mr. Showtime” and was said to earn over $45,000 per week, which was unheard of at the time.

The Riviera is no longer in operation; the land has been sold to a new owner, and a new modern resort will be put on the site shortly (we hope)

The New Frontier Resort in Paradise is another historic music venue. Elvis Presley, Diana Ross, and the Supremes were all put on the road to stardom here.

Until it was demolished in 2007, this hotel was the height of fashion and a significant part of music history.

Not all music’s history has vanished: the Las Vegas Hilton, now known as the Westgate Las Vegas Resort, was formerly home to Elvis Presley and his 837 sold-out concerts from 1969 through 1977.

Imagine the scene, the king in action in the ballroom at The Las Vegas Hilton back in the day. Right now, how about it?

Who will be the main attraction? Usher is in residence at The Colosseum, and with all of this talent in one spot, we know where we’ll be spending our next vacation.
