The trick is to find the one which works best in your space. You could even plant multiple herbs in the same planter, as long as their sunlight and water requirements are similar.

You can even place them on the different levels according to which ones need the most sunlight, with those needing more being placed at the top. That being said, rotate the structure occasionally to ensure that each plant receives sufficient sunlight.
