Safe Travel Tips for the Holidays

The Holidays are fast approaching and I know far too well how stressful traveling can be. We will be doing a lot of traveling the next couple of months ourselves. We love to take the kids to places that we never got the chance to see when we were their age and we visit our families on the Holidays. With the holidays on us you need to make sure everyone is safe and sound when driving. Having any kind of tips is always a good thing. And here are some I want to share with you.

In addition to the everyday rules we follow – do not text, do not talk on your phone, do not Speed and do not drink and drive – below are a few more tips we have assembled. I hope these tips help make your holiday travel more enjoyable and safe, and help to reduce the unnecessary stress of traveling.

The first tip is to make sure your vehicle is in working order. Either check these yourself or go to your mechanic. The lights, tire conditions and also check the pressure level, hoses and belts. Make sure to check all your fluids; transmission fluid, antifreeze fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid and your oil. Another thing to check is your battery, look for any corrosion. These are things that need to be checked before leaving.
