Homemade Gnocchi

Make some 3-ingredient Homemade Gnocchi for a delicious dinner. Cooked starchy potatoes are mixed with flour and egg to create a dough and then rolled into gnocchi shapes and boiled until tender.

Ingredients

  • 3 Yukon or Russet Potatoes peeled and cooked
  • 1 1/2 cups flour + more for rolling
  • 1/2 Tsp salt
  • 1 Egg

Instructions

  • Place the potatoes in a bowl and mash them until there are no lumps.
  • Add the salt and mix.
  • Add the flour and egg and with the help of your hands knead until you have a soft dough.
  • Cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Cut out a piece, the size of a lemon, and roll until you have a long rope.
  • With a knife cut out small 3/4 inch gnocchi squares.
  • Sprinkle with a little bit more flour and press/roll in a fork to shape the gnocchi.
