We all love drinking coffee. For years, this aromatic beverage was believed to be unhealthy. Today we know that this is a pretty unfair misconception, since coffee is actually very beneficial for our health. Recent researches has shown that drinking about four cups of coffee a day, lowers the risk of developing oral cancer and is great for your skin. But what most people don’t know is that coffee grounds can be very beneficial too. They are perfect for dealing with some skin problems and especially for cellulite. Homemade recipes with coffee grounds are great way for exfoliating your skin and removing dead cells from it.
Cellulite is one of those annoying things, which can appear for a day and then takes you years to get rid of it. So if you want to deal with it, you will have to arm yourself with patience and persistence. Coffee, and more particularly caffeine, can be your secret weapon against cellulite. Home recipes are among the most effective ones, since the result appears almost immediately. The skin is significantly smoother and softer.
The first recipe, that we would like to offer you, includes three of the most popular and effective natural products – honey, coffee and red pepper. Coffee grounds are known for their benefits in the eternal fight against cellulite. However, you will have to be careful not to plug the drain in the bathroom. Honey is famous for its healing benefits( massage with honey, for example, is highly recommended for colds). Also, the best relaxing massages and spa procedures include honey. As for the pepper – it is great for improving blood circulation.
In a suitable vessel, add 3 or 4 tablespoons of each of the components. The amount has to be considered according to the areas of application. Use a wooden spatula (or your fingers, if you prefer) to mix it, then apply and gently rib in your skin. When you have covered the areas you want, wrap your thighs with foil and leave them sit like that for a couple of hours. Of course, this recipe is good to be done during the weekend, when you are not supposed to go anywhere. At the end rinse, while at the same time you are trying to massage your thighs. You can even take a contrast shower and alternate washing the problem areas with hot and cold water. Remember, always end with cold water!
Another great idea is to make a mixture of coffee grounds and olive oil. Again, rub for at least 5 minutes and then leave the caffeine do its job. However, in this case, after taking a shower, you will have to use some hydrating body lotion.
Another solution is to prepare a homemade scrub of coffee grounds and brown sugar. Here is what you need:
· 70g coffee grounds;
· 200g brown sugar;
· 250ml almond oil.
Mix the three components and treat the problem areas. You can use a massage glove and exfoliate until the skin starts getting redden. Then rinse and use an anti-cellulite body lotion for a better result. Thanks to this simple recipe, the other cosmetic procedures will be far more efficient.
