Do you want to help your child start learning? It is possible with the right approach. Learning is important for each kid. However, keep in mind that every kid learns differently. Check out my tips for helping your child learn.
Whether your child is 1 or 3, learning videos are a great way to get your child started with learning. My kids have always enjoyed watching videos, plus it takes the stress off you! Kids retain a lot of information from the songs and storyline of the videos.
Talk to your kids
Talking to your kids is another way they can learn. Kids love to hear their parents talk. After all, they learn how to walk and talk from you! By following in your footsteps, they are going to learn a lot. Plus, it is wise for parents to watch what they say, do, and act, around them!
Demonstrate for your kids
Your kids will learn when you demonstrating things for them. You don’t have to do things for them, but demonstrating sure does help! My kids learn a lot by watching me do something.
Singing and dancing
This is so fun! Music is a huge part of our lives and it’s a great way for kids to learn. Turn on some music and let your kids sing and dance. You can use music as a teaching tool and to break down and have some fun.
Use Playroom Prep
We are a homeschooling family. I keep my oldest two entertained enough, but my 3-year-old is always wanting to learn. I came across a book called Playroom Prep and it has been a great tool in our learning environment. Playroom Prep is a set of books that was created to help kids learn. I love it because it can be an independent activity or an activity that you do with your kids.
Playroom Prep helps you prepare your child for Pre-school and Kindergarten in a fun, age appropriate and engaging way: through colorful art! Playroom Prep was created by a teacher who realized her students were unprepared the first day of class. By joining researched methods with bright illustrations, Playroom Prep helps you teach essential early learning skills in a fun, simple way!
