Permanent-Vacation

Florida is a remarkably popular destination for travelers, thanks, in part, to its association with the Disney Theme Parks, the vibrant nightlife of Miami, as well as its keen, interesting environment, accentuated by the Everglades and the various flora and fauna on show.

It’s one of the cheaper US destinations thanks to its popularity, meaning that there’s an abundance of bargains to be found. Whether you want to hit the parks or laze up on the beach, Florida holidays are becoming more popular nowadays because of attractions that are perfect for vacationers on budget. From Tampa to Orlando, Miami to Tallahassee, Florida is an intriguing destination, with the following attractions just some of the many reasons to visit:

Attractions

It’s impossible not to start with Walt Disney World, highlighted as the happiest place on Earth. The classic rides are always worth a spin and the other parks, Universal Studios, Epcot and even Busch Gardens down in Tampa, are great fun for those of all ages.

For those looking to escape the fast-paced cities, the Everglades is a must-visit. It may not qualify as much to look at but it’s a unique staple of Florida’s environment and the wildlife, namely the alligators, dolphins and eagles, always pull in a crowd.

Back across to the cities, Miami is a thriving, open-all-night kind of place, and South Beach is, perhaps, its go-to attraction. It’s a popular and rich area, full to the brim with tourists as well as golden sand and crystal clear waters. For a similar surrounding, the Florida Keys may well be worth a visit for those looking to experience the Caribbean influence on America. These tropical islands, connected to the mainland via a series of impressive bridges, are great for spending a well-deserved break.

Other Activities

Surrounded by a luxurious coastline, diving around Florida is a richly entertaining pastime for many. The reefs are attractive and the sea-bed offers up an array of sunken vessels to explore.

Those seeking a bit of culture may wish to visit the city of St. Augustine, home to the renowned Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest fort in the USA. It’s an old European settlement and gives a little taste of the old, adding an extra dimension to the state.

Anywhere in Florida is fine with me :) We spend quite a bit of time every year in the St. Pete- Clearwater area, and Fort Myers too. We actually have bought a little place in the area-- and I am trying desperately to pull the husband there for good. (It's gonna happen-- just a matter of time.)
