Loved reading this book to my young nephew, he actually sat through the whole thing. which was pretty awesome in itself. The Rootlets is an amazingly cute book that exposes children to the importance of friendship, inner strength and healthy living. And the picture are just as cute, and we love to read and look at them.
“Join the Rootlets and their dog, Basil, in their first adventure! Bross, Carrotina, Cornelius and Kaley are preparing for an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime event. That is, until Mr. Fungo Fungi arrives with shocking news, and the Rootlets learn that they have real magical super powers called Rootabilities! In a determined effort to discover their powers, the Rootlets soon realize that solving the biggest mystery of their lives won’t be easy – and time is running out! Will the Rootlets be able to uncover their super Rootabilities without missing the big event?”
This colorful, fresh book has a great message, too – that veggies have superpowers and are exciting. I love Mr. Fungi, “he’s a Fun Guy”. All the characters have creative veggie names and cute veggie-style hair.
This beautifully illustrated picture book gives foodies and families alike a rare resource to help familiarize children with vegetables, fruits and other plant-based foods – in a way that is FUN, hilariously entertaining and packed with magical adventure and surprise.
“Veggies rock and The Rootlets take veggie coolness to a whole new level – especially for the kiddos. My daughter is a huge fan. Great book, great brand, great message. I can’t wait to see what’s next for these rad little characters,” says Chad Sarno, Plant-Based Chef Educator.
