Summer time! Hot days and warm nights, means more time outside. It also means more chances to be bit up by mosquitoes. You won’t have to worry about that if you’re using Avon’s Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus.
My sister has always bought my boys Avon Insect Repellent. Much like their aunt, they love to be outdoors, and especially in the woods. Not only do I worry about disease carrying mosquitoes, but I worry about ticks as well. Liam has had two ticks on him in the past. (One was in his armpit, one behind his ear. I didn’t think to use bug spray there. I do now!) Thankfully, he didn’t get Lyme disease, but it sure was scary. I have had one too. I was lucky as well, especially since mine was there for over twenty-four hours. (After that scare, I never go outside without using Bug Guard.)
Unless you live under a rock, you know all about the Zika Virus, and the West Nile Virus too. They are spread by none other than mosquitoes. (I can remember being covered with bug bites every summer as a kid. There wasn’t a fear of nasty viruses like this.) The only way to prevent either of these is to find a good insect repellent. Well, Avon has your back!
Their Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus comes in a lotion, a pump spray (like they sent us,) an aerosol spray, and towelettes that fit conveniently in a purse or even a back pack. They even have a really neat lotion that goes on blue, and disappears as it you rub it in. My boys LOVED that one when they were younger. They also offer Bug Guard Plus with SPF 28 or SPF 30.
The pump spray Bug Guard Plus that Avon sent us has Picaridin which is effective against repelling mosquitoes, ticks and even chiggers. It also has Aloe and Vitamin E to help enrich your skin as well. Bug Guard Plus will repel ticks for up to twelve hours, and mosquitoes for up to eight hours. For gnats, no-seeums, midges, and biting flies, you will want to reapply after six hours.
It works great, and really does keep annoying bugs away. Liam loves that is keeps gnats off his face, especially when he’s busy fishing! You don’t have to take our word for it though. Visit Avon’s website to order some for your family. You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest.
