20 Minutes a Day can prepare your Kindergartener to be ahead of the class!
Christy Cook was a mom who wanted to give her son a head start in life. She developed and collected items and tools that will help you easily teach your own child. With an all-inclusive kit for many ages, Teach My kits are a wonderful way to bond with your children while teaching them the basics. Each kit has games, flash cards and a teaching guide.
As a mom, I am always teaching my kids. Old or young they depend on their parents to get them ready for the long road of life ahead. As a mom of an almost kindergartener it is vital that I make sure my kids are ready for the next step they have to take in life. I was thrilled to take a look at this complete kit from Teach My. Each box is completely packed with learning tools and objects that will help teach your child what they need to know.
The box might say kindergartner but my 2nd grader got excited as well to see all the full color tools to help learn. The main topics in this kit are
- Money – 12 wipe off flashcards, poster, wallet, 8 money flashcards, and play money
- Spelling – 52 flash cards with 100 words
- The Time -30 digital number cards, digital time maker, wipe off clock and book.
- The Year – date maker, 70 flashcards, wipe off calendar, 2 spinners.
This box is loaded with everything you need to get your child ready for kindergarten or to keep up their skills in the summer. Both of my kids couldn’t wait to dig in to the money packet which was full of money and comes with an adorable wallet. The wallet really makes playing store more believable for my kiddos.
First we punched out all the coins and laid out our bills. The flash cards have blank sides that are dry erase so I can make up price amounts for the object that is at each child’s skill level. This was the easiest store we have ever had! My kids loved playing and didn’t even realize they were learning. I think that is the greatest reward of bonding with your kids through educational games. They get excited because it is fun and I am thrilled they are learning and enhancing their skills. The poster helps give the big picture to how all the coins add up and I think really reinforces how complete this kit is. With hands on learning and simple games, I know my kiddos will have hours of fun with this kit. Even though the teaching guide shows you that in just 20 minutes a day you can teach your child, some days they just want to play longer.
Overall, I was amazed at how compact but complete this kit was. It is full of learning fun and I am so excited to continue using it with my son so he is ready for kindergarten. Do you play educational games with your kids?
