My oldest son who is almost a teenager (dear lord help me) absolutely loves to draw and has done some quite awesome things with a pencil. He also really likes to create things with Lego’s without blueprints. He just comes up with spaceships or other designs in his head and then makes them. He truly is great at that kind of stuff. I call him my engineer in the making since he is so artistic and can really just create anything from nothing. Recently he has dabbled with a little bit of computer science and animation so and enjoyed that as well. So what do you get for the kid who is smart and loves to tinker? Stickbots!Stickbot Studio Pro is an Animation Studio that works alongside an app downloaded off Google Play or the Apple Store. The Studio itself is just a green screen box that can be made blue or green and comes with two smaller green/blue screen prop boxes and a pedestal for your phone or device. The Stikbots are little guys that are fitted with rubber band like arms and legs allowing you to manipulate them into positions to capture pictures and stop motion video. There are many different Stikbots to choose from the the Studio only comes equipped with two the others are sold separately. Stikbot is the world’s first social media sharing toy, that allows children (and adults) to create numerous stop motion adventures right at home and then share them online via their favorite social media outlet. It can be slightly time consuming but also addicting so beware. I honestly am not sure who had more fun with Stikbot myself or my son. He now of course wants more Stikbot characters for his birthday and a phone of his own (not going to happen). Set up is easy and if you get stuck you can go online for tips and ticks to help you learn best how to use and manipulate Stickbot. Currently there is a contest online for Stickbot videos and the winner can win up to $20,000 for their creative and imaginative video!
