When a Severe Weather Alert is issued by the National Weather Service, the blue screen will
change to a Red screen alerting you of approaching severe weather. Here is sample alert
from the National Weather Service, this is how your radio will sound when the alert is activated,

A Built in .5 watt LED flashlight is very bright and has high/low modes. This is a excellent light. Also, when a alert is issued the “red alert” will glow a bright red while the severe weather alert is broadcast.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is responsible for
transmitting the alerts for which this radio receives. Once a alert is broadcast this radio
goes into action by displaying the bright red screen and alert light on top, and then
