Organize Right with Xangar Hanger Spacers

disclosure-300x100Here's a fun game….Ready??? Okay, head over to your closet and just look for a minute. Now think about what you see, is it a mess? Is it an organized mess that no one but you can make sense of? Does it look like a closet monster came in and threw your clothes everywhere? Or are you looking at a perfect closet that crawled right out off the pages of a magazine? Chances are you are banging your head on the wall wondering how to deal with everything in there. I sure was, and I was quite overwhelmed by it all too. One day I decided enough was enough and pulled it all out and reorganized everything with the help of Xangars Hanger Spacers from The Grommet and a few donation bags I pulled it off!Xangars come in three colors pink, gray (charcoal) and silver. Xangars slide right over your hanging rod in your closet. The idea is to use them to help keep your garments from becoming squished and wrinkled. It also makes it easier to look through your items if you have them properly spaced, allowing you to take less time to find that perfect shirt you were looking for. Use of Xangars in this way gives a very neat and organized look.xangersHowever, while that is the most common way to use the Xangars that is NOT how I decided to use them. After going through EVERYTHING in my closet one garment at a time. I ended up with three piles; one pile for donations/yard sale everything that I didn't wear or that didn't make me happy), one pile to be hung back up (clothing that made me feel good and happy) and one last pile of pre-baby clothes that I may or may not fit into but hope to (and would bring me joy to fit in again).xangerAfter hanging my keep clothes back into my closet I organized them by type. Dresses were hung together then, I placed a Xangar to mark the next set of clothes which were Tank Tops. I continued to separate my clothing by sets until it was time to hang up my “hope to fit in” clothes. Should I fail to access those clothes or attempt to within the next 3 months I promised myself I would toss them. In addition to, getting rid of those clothes I tied a piece of yarn on my hangers. Once I wear an item the yarn comes off then after 6 months I will reevaluate my keep section based on what I did not wear.XangarI am so happy to finally have a system in my closet that I enjoy, I even separated my man's clothes by type too. How nice it feels to be rid of things I don't use and organized. Be sure to visit thegrommet.com to check out Xangars for yourself!
