Did you know October is National Pizza Month? I didn’t! But I’m excited now….I can have Pizza every week now. Pizza is our family favorite, but we don’t eat too much because it cost us almost $50 for delivery. So my daughter had a BRILLANT idea to make our own pizzas for lunch the other day. We headed to Walmart and bought all the goodies we need to make four personal pepperoni pizza.
On specially marked packages of Mama Mary’s®Pizza Crust from October through November at Walmart stores nationally, there will be a fold-out booklet with more than $5 in coupon in savings from Mama Mary’s Pizza Crusts and Pepperoni, Dole® Pineapple, Cabot® Cheese, Kikkoman® Teriyaki, Barilla® Sauce, and Filippo Berio® Olive Oil…PLUS some great recipes!
What you need:
- Mama Mary’s® Pizza Crust: (now we had to search for this, but it was with the Pasta) There are three to a pack, so we bought two packs.
- Mama Mary’s®Pepperoni
- Pizza Sauce: You know Barilla® Marinara Sauce is always delicious on pizza
- Cheese: Cabot® Cheese
- Olive Oil: Filippo Berio® Olive Oil
- Optional: olives, bacon, ham, sausage, onions, peppers, pineapple, or whatever you want on your pizza
What to do:
- Put pizza crust on Pan
- Pre -heat oven at 425
- Brush olive oil on the crust
- Pour sauce and spread out
- Add Cheese
- Place Pepperoni on top of sauce
- Add a little more Cheese
- Add fruit or veggies
- Place in oven
- COOK FOR 10 minutes.
We made four personal pizzas for under $10.00! A lot better than $50 that we usually have to pay for delivery which most of the time we don’t like.
We loved our pizzas! Everyone ate their own and all of it. Now, my daughter knows how to make her own pizza she wants to make them for AFTER SCHOOL snacks. She even said she would make her brother’s so I know she is serious.
Walmart has all the ingredients you need but makes sure you get Mama Mary’s® Pizza Crust for sure because it is the best “make your own pizza” crust we have tried.
What kind of PIZZA will make this month?
This post is sponsored by Mama Mary’s®, but the recipe, and the opinions expressed in this post are entirely my own.
Roasted Garlic Chicken Artichoke. Use Roasted Garlic Alfredo sauce, then cooked chicken, canned artichokes drained and chopped up, chopped onion, black pepper, and top with mozzarella cheese. If you Alfredo sauce seems too runny you can put a bit of flour or corn starch in it, heat it up on the stove (stirring constantly) until it thickens up to your liking before putting it on the pizza dough.
When my sons lived at home we made an awful lot of pizza. It was an easy night for me after work.
It is always good to make home made foods, and Pizzas can be very healthy if made with the right ingredients. Thanks for sharing!
Oh i love Pizza month! :)So delicious!
Yum! I love homemade pizza! I’ll have to try this!
Your pizzas looked good! I definitely have to remember to celebrate National Pizza Month.
How did I not know it was National Pizza Month?? I need to celebrate ASAP!! LOL!!
It’s national pizza month and it’s awesome! I love making pizzas for the kids at home and they normally help out and it turns out to be even more fun! This pizza dough sounds great! I would love to try it.
I always make the same style pizza. It consists of garlic, feta, and spinach. It is my absolute favorite, which is probably why I enjoy it often.
Pizzza is a big fave for us here too. This looks delish!
I do love me some pizza. Hurrah for Nat’l pizza recignition. :)
I do love me some pizza. Hurrah for Nat’l pizza recognition. :)
I love the idea of a little mini pizza made up just the way you like it. That way everyone gets what they want on their pizza.
I really like Mama Mary’s easy and flavorful crust. I will have to go and grab some soon to celebrate National Pizza Month =)
I had no idea it’s National Pizza Month! No wonder the local pizza chain has been sending notifications about their promos and stuff. :)
My nephews are all about pizza and I make sure that they have a tummy full of it when they come visit! I think it’s awesome to be able to do this for them, I’ve never tried that crust before, it would be great to give it a go in the oven!
I didn’t know there was a National Pizza Month. God bless whoever came up with the idea.
I had no idea that we have the whole month of October to celebrate how great pizza is! My nephews are huge fans and I’d love to make pizza for them when they come and visit!
Wow, this is a great time to celebrate pizza with some friends and with the family! Lovely idea!
I didn’t even know it’s National Pizza Month! These would be great to make with our boys. They love pretending to be little chefs in the kitchen.
A Pizza Month, that sounds amazing for sure, though I am not aware about it despite being a crazy Pizza lover. I too make pizzas at home frequently as they are pretty much cheaper and you can try out different varieties as well on your own!
holy smokes, never knew there was anything as pizza month celebrations, wish there could be one here in my country.
You can nevr go wrong with pizza. Its totally deserving of it’s own month. :)
My favorite month getting even better with this. I honestly haven’t tried MamaMary’s but I still have a week to get into my usual groove with pizza.
