We love receiving books from Harper Collins Publishers, and with no surprise we just got two more awesome books. The newest ones we have been The pig in the wig and Tulip and Rex write a story.
The first one I will be talking about is The pig wears a wig, my son thought this was so funny he was laughing so hard, he thought she looked funny with the wig.
What this story needs is a pig in a wig, on a boat in a moat with a frog, a dog, and a goat on a log. As a panda in a blouse, a skunk on a trunk, and more hop on board, it becomes clear that what this story really needs is a bigger boat! Join Pig on an exciting boat ride as she discovers that life is more fun with friends in this fantastic funny read-aloud with cumulative text from author-illustrator Emma J. Virján.
This book was great and one by one the kid-friendly animals went to the boat in the moat. They all joined the pig with the wig, the frog, and the goat all made their way down to the moat. A rat, wearing a cool hat, sits on a trunk—belonging to an elephant—with a skunk, who is with a mouse in a house. I was beginning to wonder what another animal could possibly be added to the small boat in the moat when Pig yelled at the narrator. You have to read it to find out more.
The second book is Tulip and Rex write a song:
Often accompanied by a flitting butterfly, her life becomes complete when she meets a large dog named Rex, who shares her love of movement. Both agree that sharing a passion makes it all the more enjoyable. Massini’s large, soft pastel illustrations are very appealing, especially the close-ups of Tulip and Rex, clearly in delight with each other. Black outlines give Tulip just enough definition as she spins through life, and Rex is scruffy enough to fit her energetic lifestyle.
This is the cutest book and she does her dancing , we loved both of these books and can not wait for the new ones to come in.
