When my babies were little I always love to swaddle them. And then when my son had kids he used to wrap them like little bean burritos. Or at least that is what he called them. And even though they are bigger now, they are still my little burritos. But anyway, Miracle Ware has designed the Miracle Blanket which takes all of the guess-work out of swaddling our babies.

They have a cute little pouch at the bottom for their feet to stay warm and snug. And then they have two flaps on the right and one on the left. When you wrap your baby correctly, they are perfectly swaddled and safe. If you baby is warm dress in just a diaper and the blanket. And it is perfectly ok that as your baby grows the feet space may seem loose. This will allow safe movement and growth of your little ones hip and knee joints.

The first few times that you wrap your baby they may fuss. But never fear they will get used to the swaddle and relax. A very important tip – make sure that the blanket IS NOT touching your baby’s cheeks. Because this may trigger the “rooting response” and possible wake the little one. Keep the arm flaps secure and flat under your little ones back. This way they can’t work their way free. Some babies prefer their feet free and you may choose to position their feet on the TOP of the pouch and not inside. Swaddling is recommended from birth to 14 weeks. Five easy steps to swaddle your baby.
