It seems we’re all in a time crunch nowadays, and unless it’s something that can be done quickly, we often can’t fit it into our busy schedules. For many us, making time for such things as exercise, sleep, or even “me time,” is a hot commodity, and something we often do without. But what if you could exercise using yoga in just ONE MINUTE? We can surely spare a minute. Which makes Yogaminute by Anita Perry so perfect!
Calm Your Mind, Invigorate Your Spirit, and Stretch Your Body with Yogaminute
My husband has been wanting to try yoga for some time now. He’s limited on what he can do because, as my son says, “you have more metal than Iron Man!” So when Anita reached out to us here at Kelly’s Thoughts on Things, I was excited to check out her book for my husband.
When I first opened Anita’s book I saw Mocha the Down Dog. A super adorable french bulldog. My fur brother is a frenchie, so right away, I was in love! After that is a pretty basic introduction to Yoga, which is especially great for “newbs” like us!
Pictures will help teach you the pose
I’m a very visual learner when it comes to following instructions. My husband tends to be as well, so we love that Yogaminute has pictures of the poses. It even breaks them down into the areas that they help. Since we’re all so busy, this lets us focus on the area that we want to work on. Which of course, saves us time!
I can do it!
I suffer daily from Fibromyalgia and other chronic pain issues. My neck, shoulders, and lower back seem to be the center of my most extreme pain, and some days just breathing hurts. I decided that since my husband was going to give Yogaminute a try, then I would as well.
I started with the Neck and Shoulder Stretch, Shoulder Shrugs, and Shoulder Rolls (on page fifteen.) Let me tell you, I was shocked. I actually felt some relief in my neck and shoulders when I was finished doing these stretches. So much so that now I do them a few times per day! Thank you Anita! Truly from my heart, thank you!
