He Named Me Malala
He Named Me Malala is an intimate portrait of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai. At the age of just 15-years-old, she was targeted by the Taliban for advocating for girls education. While returning home on her school bus in Pakistan’s Swat Valley, she was shot in the head, causing an outrage in international media. Supporters all around the world sparked after the attack on this her.
Malala survived the attack and kept on fighting for her beliefs. Since the attack, she has emerged as a leading campaigner for the rights of children worldwide globally as co-founder of the Malala Fund.
The most incredible thing about her story, though, is that on December 14, 2014, she became the youngest-ever Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. On Monday, February 29th 8 pm est/7 pm cst there will be Global Broadcast of He Named Me Malala that you just can’t miss!
There is also a book available that goes into even more detail of about her heroic journey Malala Yousafzai will always be an important person because of her accomplishments. Her story alone could inspire you to do something great one day, and you just have to step up and have courage.
