Do Better People! Book Review: I’m Judging You by Luvvie Ajayi

I want to MEET Luvvie Ajayi after reading her debut book; I’m Judging You: The Do-Better Manual, but I'm sure that won't happen so I'll follow her on her blog Awesomely Luvvie, now.  Luvvie Ajayi is an award-winning writer, speaker and digital strategist who thrives at the intersection of comedy, technology, and activism.

Her debut book, I’m Judging You: The Do-Better Manual is a series of humorous essays that dissects our cultural obsessions and calls out bad behavior in our increasingly digitally, connected lives. Better yet…she lets us know the HARD TRUTH about ourselves and others in this world.  She even judges herself, and that is what makes this book so relatable! This book made me think, and yes I'm guilty of some of the issues in the book. Let me tell you…I will do better!

This book is FUNNY and HONEST in so many ways!

She brings to light what SOCIETY needs to work on in such a blunt way I kept telling my husband what she said while I was reading the book.  BTW he is reading it now.  I felt like she was talking directly at me and judging me. I was okay with that because it opened my eyes. She wrote about Reality TV (which I'm a big fan), Racism, Rape, Media, Social Media Do and Dont's, plus many more topics. The hard truths we all should be DOING BETTER for our society or better yet our KIDS! There are four parts of this book- Life, Culture, Social Media, and Fame.
