My husband cooks “SoulFul” Sunday dinners (that is what he calls it) all the time, and it usually is CHICKEN. His favorite thing to do is fry up chicken but I’m not the biggest fan of his Breader (he makes his own) so when I saw House-Autry I knew we had to give it a try. I’m so happy I did too. I love my husband and I love more that he cooks a Sunday dinner, but he won’t be using his own recipe anymore- only House-Autry Chicken Breader!
Not sure if you know about House-Autry but you need too, it has been around since 1812 so you know something is good about this brand. House-Autry is also sought out from foodservice distributors, restaurants and restaurant chains throughout the country. If you’d like to see where we’re sold in a retailer near you, you can go here. House-Atury is a line of traditionally-seasoned breaders and coatings for chicken, seafood, pork, and other things (like vegetables).
Other items to try:
- Hushpuppies Mix
- Biscuit Mix
- Cornbread Mix
- Southern Baked product line
House-Autry takes a lot of pride when it comes to their products because they help families experience the Southern tradition. Plus it makes chicken taste so good and adds a great flavor to all meals. Look how yummy those wings look!
My husband loves to FRY chicken wings….even though I told him to look on House-Autry for all the awesome recipes. He isn’t that open to trying new recipes (ugh), but he did follow this recipe from House-Autry Mills:
Deep Fried Chicken
20 pieces chicken (varies with cut)
1 cup water or milk
Oil for frying
Preheat oil in deep fryer to 360°F in deep fryer or 1/4 inch oil in skillet to medium high. Moisten chicken with water and shake off excess. Coat with breader by shaking together in plastic bag or rolling in breader on plate. Deep fry 15-20 minutes; pan fry 20-25 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.Chef Tip:
