Help Feed Starving Kids

Childhood hunger is one of the main issues around the world.

Even in America, there are numerous kids who do not receive proper nutrition on a daily basis.

Food is a right of every individual, and if an individual is unable to source their own food, it is the responsibility of us as human beings to provide them with that food.

Help Feed Starving Kids

As of 8th April 2020, there are more than 11 million children in America that come from home suffering from food insecurity.

The promise and aim of a non-profit organization known as “No Kid Hungry” are to reduce that number to zero.

Many may believe that it is not a realistic number.

However, if the population of America that lives in homes with adequate food security comes together, they can help feed starving kids and make this a reality.

It does not take much to reach the goal if every individual plays their part in the process and takes part in the fight to end child hunger.

Here are a few things you can do to play your role responsibly in this fight:

  • Donate:  it takes as little as two dollars to provide food for a starving child for one day. Whether it is $2, you can donate or $10. Starting to donate is an important step.
  • Become a Regular Donor:  getting in the habit of donating regularly is the best way an individual can support their community and help the starving children. It is also important to note that donations do not necessarily need to be in the form of cash. Nonperishable food items are also a good option to consider when making donations to help end starvation.
  • Host an Event: how many of us regularly host parties with little to no excuse needed. Why not take this opportunity to help donate to hungry children. Make an event into a fundraiser. There is no need to make things too difficult for yourself by wanting to make grand gestures. A simple pool and barbecue party in your backyard can act as a fundraiser where your friends and family can donate whatever amount they want to help end starvation.
  • Teach Your Kids: a huge part of ending hunger is the process of spreading awareness. What is a better place to start spreading awareness than your own home? Teach your kids about child hunger and the steps they can take to help fight it. It is also a good idea to help your kids realize the importance of food security and the importance of not wasting food.

Following these few steps can ensure you play your part in the fight against hunger and give a fair chance to kids living in homes that suffer from food insecurity.

If every individual plays their role to the fullest, there is a chance we can end child starvation in our country.

This will also have a major effect on various other factors surrounding starvation.

There is a possibility a decline in crime rate is observed as more and more people get food security.

Therefore, join us at No Kid Hungry, lets fight hunger together.
