HelioTop Sunscreen

I had the wonderful opportunity to write about HelioTop 360Sunscreen for the awesome website, Kelly’s Thought’s on Things.

Let me start off by saying I live in the bright sunny state of Florida so skin care is so very important to me.  I won’t go anywhere without my sunscreen on.  But I bet you’re thinking to yourself, Jessica I don’t live in Florida.  Well, just because you don’t live in Florida like me, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care or worry about using sun protection.  Wrong! It doesn’t matter where you live, you should always, always use sunscreen.

rafu5eo1_201506302010236556The scary fact is one in five people will get skin cancer and it’s the most preventable cancer out there.  For anyone who has experienced a sun-related skin issue it’s imperative that you use sunscreen along with limiting your time in the sun and where sun protective clothing.  So, why not use the amazing Heliotop!

Heliotop sunscreen offers broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection with antioxidants.  It is an SPF 50+, water resistant product that lasts for eighty minutes (when in water or if you’re sweating), which I think is a really good amount of time.  What I do to make things easier is set my cell phone alarm for sixty minutes when I’m swimming so I can get out towel off and reapply.  If you’re not going swimming, you don’t have to worry about reapplying for two hours.  It is also a matte finish, so it makes it ideal for the face.

Heliotop is a titanium dioxide and zinc oxide mineral sunscreen with antioxidants (polypodium leucotomos extract).  Heliotop also helps prevent sunburn, decreases the risk of skin cancer and reduces the risk of skin aging when combined with other sun protection measures.

Heliotop is great for all skin types, so whether you have normal to sensitive skin (like me) you’re being 100% protected from the sun’s harmful rays.

What makes HelioTop so special to me, beyond all the wonderful benefits it already has been that it is Dermatologist recommended.  Right, there is a number one selling point for me.

Heliotop, retails for approximately $30.00 for a 1.7 fluid ounce tube and is available at dermatologist offices and online.
