Chocolate cupcakes are covered in delicious white icing, with colored icing that looks like a giant eyeball with red veins popping out.

To top it off, a glow in the dark bracelet is placed on each cupcake to make the “eyeball” glow!

What a yummy way to enjoy some family time baking up cupcakes to decorate them together so that they look like glowing eyeballs!

GLOWING EYEBALL CUPCAKE INGREDIENTS

This quick and easy Glowing Eyeball Cupcake recipe uses everyday kitchen staples to create a delicious Halloween snack your family will love.

All you need is:

  • chocolate cupcakes
  • white frosting
  • black & red decorating gel
  • a variety of food coloring
  • glow in the dark bracelets

GLOWING EYEBALL CUPCAKE RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

Glowing Eyeball Cupcakes

First, frost the cupcakes with white frosting.

Take the leftover icing and divide the rest of the frosting into 6 bowls and add 2-3 drops of each food coloring to each bowl.

Gently mix the dye into each bowl of icing.

Next, you’ll create the eyeball, by using a knife or piping bag, using the icing, draw a circle in the middle of each cupcake.

Use a different color of icing for each cupcake.

With the black decorating gel, add a small circle in the middle of each colored eyeball.

Now, you’re going to create the veins for the eyeballs.

Take your red decorating gel and add veins going from the outside edge of the eyeball to the edge of the cupcake.

Add as many veins as you’d like.

Now for the fun part, to create the glow, take your glow bracelets and break the glow sticks so they are glowing and place on the outside edge of the cupcake.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

If serving at a later time then wait to add the glow bracelet until you are ready to serve.

Don’t forget to remove the bracelet before eating.

  • 6 minutes to break the glow stick and place it on each cupcake

If you were to bake your own cupcakes you would need to add at least 30 minutes plus cooling time to this recipe. 

CAN I USE A DIFFERENT COLOR OF ICING?

Yes, you can use any color of icing you want to create the “eyeballs”.

I love using a variety of colors so that each cupcake is unique looking. 

HOW DO I STORE GLOWING EYEBALL CUPCAKES?

Store the Glowing Eyeball Cupcakes in an airtight container in a cool place for up to 5 days or in the refrigerator.

You can also freeze the cupcakes for up to 3 months.

Instructions

  1. Frost the cupcakes with white frosting.
