How To Avoid Extra Costs At The End Of Your Lease

Turning in something at the end of the lease usually brings unpleasant surprises in the form of extra charges and costs. Your contract mentioned that you will bring it back in good condition. So, the dealer will look for indications that suggest that you did not live up to the bargain. Here are ways with which you can avoid any extra charges at the end of the lease term:

Stay prepared: Every dealer examines several items upon return, based upon which they charge extra. Ask for the checklist of items they examine, and make certain that the thing you are returning does not have any related deficiencies. By doing so, you will be saved from surprises, and any extra charges at the end of the lease.

Look at the odometer: In case of a car lease, it must have come with a mileage limit, and you will be penalized for crossing it. Try to stay within your limits. If you are going to cross it soon, try making alternate arrangements for transporting. So, keep an eye on your odometer, and stay within the specified limits.
