We’ve all have that one place, that one destination that you’ve dreamed about since as far back as you remember. There are just so many places out there in the world just waiting to be explored (or relaxed in!). If you were itching to get away from it all on a cheap 2014 late holiday, where would you shoot off to? Here are a few suggestions:

Atlanta, Georgia

Ok, maybe you’re thinking, “Atlanta, Georgia”?! It may not be the first place that comes to mind when no expense is spared, there are wonders and features that can only be had, in this “City of Trees.” For starters, there’s the Georgia Aquarium, one of the biggest and most varied places to see exotic fish in the world. If that’s not your cup of tea, then experience a thriving arts and music scene. Think Broadway show in the south or street art in the city. Throw in one of the classiest and upscale malls in the States (Lenox Mall) and you’ve got an eclectic, one of a kind city. Plus, if you have a furry friend, bring him along. Dogs are welcome most anywhere (hey, no expense is spared, right)?

Paris, France

Paris is at the top of many people’s list, and it’s one of the few places that lives up to the hype. The Louvre is something to behold, and it’s perfectly aligned path to the Arc de Triomphe, which positions you directly in front of the Eiffel Tower; resulting in something that, when viewed together, leaves a mouth agape. Have a candlelit dinner on the Elysses River, and take in all that’s yours in the romance capital of the world.

Pha Nang, Thailand

Imagine waking up, and the first thing you hear is the calm ocean gently lapping you awake. Think of a place where, instead of a bathtub, you wake up in the morning by sliding into the ocean that makes up your backyard. That’s just one of the joys from staying in the Pha Nang peninsula in Thailand. Secluded beaches, clear water, warm sand, what else could you ask for? In this storybook place, the extraordinary becomes the norm.

Duba, Botswana

Imagine telling your friends about that time you went on a safari in Africa; about the time you saw the biggest lions in the world, where elephants and buffaloes were the afternoon views. To see this, take a safari in the lands that make up Duba, which stretches over 65 acres, all of which National Geographic and other movies have all visited.

These are four places that were just born to be seen and experienced. Take the time so that they can realize their purpose. You may even discover your own.
