When I received a wooden box full or Cleaning Essentials, I was on Cloud Nine. If you, or someone you love is looking to cut out chemicals, and clean naturally, then this is the perfect gift. Read on because I have so much to tell you!
I’m a PARTIALLY Crunchy Mom. What I mean by that is, I try my best to cut out chemicals in our soaps, lotions, shampoos, laundry soap, candles, medicines, and more. As far as food, my son has such a limited diet because of being Autistic, that healthy foods aren’t always an option. So, I cut out the crap where I can, and I’m working to teach him the same. When Cleaning Essentials contacted us to try their product, I was more than happy to oblige.
Did you know that you don’t need nasty, harmful chemicals to clean? Think about this, what did our ancestors use before the invention of cleaning supplies? They used stuff they had in their houses. Things like vinegar, alcohol, baking soda, and more.
So what does Cleaning Essentials Do?
Simply put, they provide with you with Earth and family friendly ways, to clean your home. You purchase a bottle or a jar, and then follow the recipes and instructions on it. You can purchase the items separately, or as a kit for a whole home. (Those would make an exceptional holiday gift!) So let’s talk about what they offer.
Replace your spray cleaners naturally. Simply purchase one or a few of Cleaning Essentials glass sprayers, and choose what room or what it is you’re looking to clean. (For example, are you looking for glass cleaner, bathroom or kitchen cleaner, etc.) After you decide, you simply follow the recipe on the bottle. (Tip, use WHITE distilled vinegar, and cheap Vodka is a great replacement, and much safer than alcohol. All I had on hand was alcohol, but cheap Vodka is on my shopping list!) Choose an essential oil you’d like to use to scent your cleaner, mix well, and VOILA! All natural, home-made, and best of all SAFE cleaner! For every bottle of cleaner you make yourself, you’re keeping a plastic cleaner bottle OUT of the landfills!
This part was fun. After you get your glass jar, you need to cut up some wipes. Grab an old tee-shirt, (I used an old flannel,) and start cutting. Once you have all of your wipes cut up, make the cleaning solution recipe of your choice, shake well, add your “wipes,” and let them absorb the solution. Think of all the waste you’re saving? You can wash and reuse these cloth wipes, and they’re safe for your family!
