We are always trying to eat new things, and trying out new recipes. For me, it is a new and exciting thing, learning to make some great dishes. Helping me are always the new exciting cook books I pick up. Recently one of the new ones I have been 150 Best Spiralizer Recipes.
Trying to get this family to eat more vegetables and a lot fewer carbs, is a big challenge for me. Not all of us eat vegetables and if we do its very limited, to corn and string beans. This is going to be a really big challenge for me. Spiralizers are taking home kitchens by storm. They are a fun way to introduce more vegetables, especially to finicky eaters, and reduce carbohydrates.
Being able to make them have a fun time, eating things that are very healthy for them. One of the simplest options is substituting typical wheat pasta in a dish with zucchini noodles. Would they be able to tell? That’s one of the thing I want to find out.
There are recipes for vegetarians, gluten-free diets and low carbohydrate diets but also a wide variety of dishes for meat, poultry and fish lovers.The book organization is by diet type and not meal type so you can’t flip to a soup or salad section. Instead, there are paleo, vegan/vegetarian, raw food, gluten-free chapters.
We love salads so I plan on using this to make them more fun, add my own twist to the salad. The book provides spiralized tips and techniques as well as a good variety of recipes. All the ingredients are readily available. The recipes are all doable although they range from super simple to more complicated. the recipes are clearly written and the book is divided by diet: paleo, gluten free, vegetarian and raw.
And the picture is great so you can see. There is a wide variety of recipes. Everything from soups and salads to main and side dishes. Imagine making an awesome fruit salad fun to eat, you can do so with this great book.
