It’s one of those “oh crap” moments. When you realize an important picture soon to be seen by everyone is about to take place. You go to smile, and decide last minute to hide your teeth because your teeth are dinghy and dull. Most toothpastes take quite a while to work and whiting systems are such a pain the you know what. There are a million toothpastes that claim to whiten but who knows if they ever do. Fast Forward to your next perfect picture moment: a family photo, your best friends wedding, or child’s graduation and this time be ready with White is Black by Curaprox.
I have to admit, I was not too hip on the wash your mouth with black toothpaste bit. It just sounds ridiculous, use black to make white? What on earth are they selling?? However, since I am incredibly curious and I know just how great European products can be, I just had to try. I couldn’t pass up the chance to look like Frankenstein with black paste all up in my grill! (bonus points I scared the junk outta the kids). Not only did I enjoy the freakishly gross looking color of the toothpaste but it was really refreshing. My mouth was full of minty freshness with a hint of lime that lingered like a nice clean mouth rinse! Let’s call it super mint breathe, because that was what if felt like, Ahhhhhhhh! If you actually caught the toothpaste in the light you would see lots of shiny blue sparkles, this was what actually gave the paste the cooling sensation while brushing. The best part of this paste??? I can gross out my kids on a daily basis because it’s actually formulated with GOOD for my teeth ingredients! The White is Black toothpaste, honestly did lighten my teeth in one use by a shade and a half. No joke, I was shocked! Okay the use of black to white worked, but why did it work? Black is White works to remove discoloration though activated carbon., by absorbing the particles that cause the discoloration in the first place. Especially discoloration that is caused tea, coffee, nicotine and red wine. There is no bleach or emery particles which strip away your enamel and are found in many whiting toothpastes. The active ingredients include: 1’450 ppm fluoride, enzymes to protect against tooth decay and support the salivary functions, and 15’000 ppm hydroxylapatite that works to remineralize tooth enamel and fill in and coat your enamel. What is not in the White is Black toothpaste is just as important there are No SLS, No triclosan, No bleaching agents and No plastic particles (who wants to brush with chemicals and plastic? “Oh pick me please!”). Since Curaprox is known for it’s safe toothpastes you probably have not heard of their products. Other American brands have the above junk mentioned in their pastes (so disgusting) and are causing your teeth to decay faster. Next time you decided to run to the store and grab a new tube, check your label and decide for yourself if Black is White or other Curaprox products just might be a better option for you and your family. I know I like the idea of keeping my teeth in tact and healthy white not striped away white.
