- Know when the “housing season” is. Did you know that most people do not move in the winter months? Many people in the real estate industry will actually tell you to wait to list your home until February. Most homes get bought and sold during the month of June, since that’s after the school year has ended and that’s when people feel most comfortable moving if they have kids or other family members with them. Keep an eye out and you will find that homes start popping up all over the place when you start looking in late February or early March.
