The holidays are almost here, which is always an exciting time. It is a wonderful way to bring friends and family members together to reminisce, socialize, and create new memories. If you are bringing a group of people together—whether it is your college friends or your entire family—the food you serve plays a huge role.

This year, make sure to prepare some delicious foods that will satisfy everyone’s cravings. Here are three absolutely delicious recipes with olives to take advantage of this holiday season.

Olive Cheese Bread

Total time: 35 minutes

Prep time: 10 minute

Cook time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:  

  • 1 loaf of French bread
  • 12 ounces of grated Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 stick of butter
  • ½ cup of mayonnaise
  • 2 green onions
  • 1 6-ounce jar of stuffed olives (drained)
  • 1 6-ounce can black olives (drained)

This is a mouth-watering recipe which is sure to appeal to everyone. Serve it as an appetizer or simply cook it to have it on the table. It’s a super easy dish as well. First, make sure to preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Chop the black olives and green olives, and then slice the green onions thinly.

After you have chopped and sliced, combine the butter, mayonnaise cheese, and green onions into a bowl and stir. After this is finished, spread the mix onto your loaf of French bread and bake until the cheese is melted and browned. Mm, yummy!

Italian Pasta Salad

Total time: 20 minutes

Prep time: 10 minute

Cook time: 10 minutes

Ingredients: 

  • 1 pound of bow tie pasta
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup balsamic vinaigrette dressing
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cups of halved cherry tomatoes
  • 1 can sliced and drained mushrooms
  • 2/3 cup of pitted Kalamata olives
  • 1/2 diced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Parmesan cheese

Italy is known for its great food, so why not take advantage of a delicious pasta dish? For this tasty recipe, boil a large pot of salted water over a medium heat. Add the pasta to the salted water. While the pasta is cooking, put together the balsamic vinaigrette, mayonnaise, and sugar in a small bowl. Make sure to drain the pasta and transfer it to a large serving bowl. Let it cool—then add the tomatoes, peppers, and olives. Don’t forget to add salt and pepper as well. Pour the dressing over the salad and then finish with some delicious Parmesan cheese.

Stuffed Olives

Ready in: 10 minutes

Ingredients: 

  • One 6 ounce can of black olives
  • 4 ounces of cream cheese

What a simple treat! This idea is as easy as it gets, which is perfect for if you are in a huge holiday rush. All you have to do is simply cut open the olives and put in the cream cheese. However, you could always add your own twist to it—try putting in minced onion, garlic powder, and a small amount of cayenne to spice things up.
