It’s Friday and that means I will show you another wonderful thing to do in South Carolina. This is the West Columbia RiverWalk. The scenery is so pretty and it is so peaceful. As the New Year is approaching, I have decided My family and I will do more outdoors stuff. We all need the exercise and we love walking. The Three Rivers Greenway In Columbia provides people with a network of parks centered around the rivers that flow through our Capital city. From forested trails to scenic river overlooks, the River walk is a wonderful place to relax after work or enjoy on the weekend.

Its half-mile path accommodates all levels of physical access including baby carriages and wheelchairs. This park could not be better equipped: paved trails, restrooms, amphitheater, lampposts, emergency call boxes, water fountains, and frequent benches. The amphitheater is a wonderful gathering place for concerts and events. Paths will open the river for walking, running, bicycling, and gazing at natural beauty. A canoe landing is also available. This is a wonderful Park. There is so much you can do and see. We love taking our dogs here for walks and I know they love the exercise.

Educational wayside exhibits dot the path sharing the history and information on the natural environment of the area. The amphitheater is a wonderful gathering place for year round concerts and events.

I've had the pleasure of visiting S.C. three times (twice to Myrtle Beach and once to Beaufort) and I lived in N.C. for almost 8 years (Jacksonville) when I was married to my ex-husband. Love the Southern hospitality and charm, life actually *does* move at a different pace in the South! Absolutely gorgeous photos - thank you for sharing hon!

I could really get into the peace and serenity of that park if I lived near there. It is truly magnificent.
