My poor husband suffers from really bad asthma and I have been looking for something that can make the air better for him. Been searching for a air filter when I happened upon the Venta Airwasher, I was amazed that there is something out there that can clean air, never heard of that.
The Venta Airwasher fulfills two purposes: it humidifies dry indoor air while simultaneously purifying it. Dry indoor air is drawn into the unit and passes through the disk stacks which rotate in the water. The air is literally washed. Even the smallest particles are trapped in the water. At the same time, pure water evaporates on the exchanger surfaces, which is widely recognized as the best method of cold evaporation.
Since we have hooked it up and have been using it, my husband has been doing really good and our room is purified, awesome thing. If you fill the filter with clean water and check on it before it runs out you’ll see that the water is dirty. The dirt came from the air.
My family sleeps so much better with the Venta running … no nose bleeds, no coughing. And no sudden asthma attacks. Cleaning the unit is relatively easy. The tank, wheel and top can all be soaked/cleaned in the tub easily. The fan are a little more difficult since the fan motor cannot be submerged in water (but can only be wiped down). We love it and have no issues with it. Anything to keep my husband healthy and out of the ER are great.
Another nice thing about the Venta Airwasher is that I only have to fill the basin every couple of days. I’m not waking up in the middle of the night to refill it, or having to refill it before I rush off to work in the mornings. Additionally, I like that it has an automatic shut-down feature when the water is low. It has two speeds, both are quiet and I can sleep with either running, but a more audio-sensitive individual might choose to use the slower setting at night. I also like that it is light-weight and compact
