1. The best way to find the cheapest route on transportation.
Transportation seem to be one of the most expensive route to go especially if traveling to other places. Whether you plan to fly, go on a train, rent a vehicle or taking a bus, each one serve it’s purpose. For flying, you have the Frontier airlines. For train, you use
Amtrak. For bus, you have Bolt Bus and Greyhound. As for renting a vehicle, you have Enterprise, Hertz, Budget and many others that are out there. You can also rent a recreational vehicle which is a bonus to the second option.

2. Where to stay at.
If you chose to rent or bought your own recreational vehicle, this is a great option for housing. You do not need to find a cheap motel or hotel to stay at. If you have friends or family that live in an area that you’re going to, this would save you a bundle of money. However, if you have no other option, hostel is the cheapest route to not break the bank. You’ll also meet some interesting people in some of these places.

3. Buy the latest travel guide.
It is much cheaper than paying a travel guide that cost more than a book that is usually under $30. You have Lonely Planet, Berlitz, Frommers, Fodors and many others that you can get at your local bookstore or you can order them online.

4. Cheapest places to buy food.
Go to grocery stores to create your own picnic instead of eating at restaurants. You can create delicious food ahead of time instead of paying someone else to make food for you to accommodate you.

5. Use coupons and discounts that offers it.
Some places have that option and it is important to not forget to ask for it. Even at 15 percent off, it sure beat paying at retail prices. Make sure you use coupons for the airlines we mentioned above like Frontier airlines.

Traveling together in groups is how you’ll save more money. It is more fun to go with a group of people who you know personally.

As you can see, there are lots of ways to cut your budget even more if you use your creativity and take advantage of it. You might want to get a side gig to earn some money while on a vacation. It would give you some money to fund for your trip. Once you do all of the steps that apply to you, it would be smooth sailing from here on out.
