Look, sometimes adulting is hard! The best remedy for adult burn out is going back to our roots. Take time to play with your children. I promise, it really helps. Here are some toys and crafts to bring out the kid in you again.

Toys, Crafts, and More to Bring Out the Kid in You

I know what it’s like to juggle work, family, housework, and more. It’s time-consuming, tiring, and often leaves us feeling like we can’t add more onto our plates. What I have found that works is taking even twenty minutes out of my day, and getting down on my son’s level. He loves it, and when I’m done, I feel happier.

So what do you do for that twenty minutes? Simple. Pick out some toys and just play. Be a kid again. Make the sound effects, the different voices, and enter your own imagination. You’ll be helping your mental health, but you’ll also be helping your child(ren.)

If you enjoy making things, then have a special craft time with your child(ren.) There are times where I’m so busy I don’t know if I’ll ever get to breathe, and my son will insist on making a craft. You know what? Take the time. I feel so lighthearted when we’re done. And then I can con him into helping me too.

Maple Landmark is Fun for Everyone

I recently discovered Maple Landmark. First and foremost, I noticed all of their hand-made toys. I mean, it brings you back to when toys were simple, but so much fun to play with because they enhanced your imagination. Better yet, they’re made right here in the United States. In Vermont to be exact.

Unlike giant factories, each one of Maple Landmark’s toys and products is made by just a small group of people. Forty plus people put their heart and souls into their products, and it shows!

Toys, toys, toys!

Christmas is coming. Buy your little one a gift that will last for years! Maple Landmark has the most adorable wooden Name Trains. Then you can get wooden tracks, accessory cars, building, and so much more. Better yet, you can customize just how you want your child’s name train to look. If you little one loves trains, they will treasure this gift!

Craft Time

Maple Landmarks has some activity kids for kids and adults. Liam just got one of their Christmas Tree kits, and a Star kit. They’re sanded and unpainted three-dimensional pieces (once you put them together.) He can’t wait for “craft day” to start painting them. He already asked his dad to drill holes in them for lights too! To see all of their kits, click here.
