A tavola means “at our table” in Italian. The table is where we gather to socialize, talk, catch up, and most importantly to eat! At our table is where everything in our lives comes together. It’s where we gather and stop what ever it is we are doing for much-needed time to nourish our souls and bodies in the company of the ones we love.
With two hundred and sixty-six pages of recipes, and pictures that will make you drool, Our Table has it all. From appetizers, to soups, fish, dairy, chicken, breads, cakes, cookies, side dishes and desserts, this cook book has it all. It’s even kosher to boot!
The author was raised in Switzerland, and learned to cook in the traditional Northern Italian style, emphasizing freshness and simplicity. Between her heartwarming stories, and enticing recipes, this book can be read on the couch, and then taken to the kitchen to serve up some homemade love to your family and friends. Renee is now an in demand food stylist and works frequently with world-class food photographers. A popular writer and foodie, she resides in New Jersey with her husband and children.
Mouth watering images and simplistic recipes
When I received my copy of Our Table, I decided to check out what recipes were inside. The images made my mouth water and my stomach growl! I love to cook for my family, but with a child with food aversions, and always being in a time crunch, I don’t always get to really cook for them. Our Table makes this a bit easier.
You wouldn’t know that these recipes were so simple. For example, Sweet and Tangy Spare Ribs with only SEVEN ingredients. How about Oven Baked Honey Mustard Chicken with only SIX ingredients?! Most of which you will probably already have in your home, which makes preparation even easier.
My brother is diving into cooking now, so I’m looking forward to sharing the Our Table Cookbook with him. He loves spare ribs and I can’t wait to see him prepare and try out the two recipes for them inside this book.
