Three Great Books for Boys and Girls from Sky Pony Press

The holiday season is upon us and I have some great books for those of you looking for something for the boys and girls on your lists. Read on to learn more about these books from Sky Pony Press.

Earning My Spots by Mark Eastburn

In this book the reader will meet Sam and his family of werehyenas. They’re the only family of werehyenas in town, and they do their best to keep their cover in front of their fellow humans. More aggressive shifters think Sam and his family are weak due to their way of life. One night, a pack of these shifters raids Sam’s home and takes his entire family. Now he’s left all alone. He now sets off on a journey from Vermont to South Africa to rescue his family.

Along the way, Sam meets various shifters who aid him upon request. He even meets a tribe of werehyenas in Louisiana that teaches him just how powerful his kind are, and how far the lineage goes back. From this tribe, Sam learns that he now has a destiny to fulfil. Readers will take great pleasure in this story while accompanying Sam on his quest. They will see how Sam learns that he is indeed very strong, and that being a werehyena isn’t as laughable as he once thought.

Snakes and Stones by Lisa Fowler

Twelve year old Chestnut Hill only remembers that Daddy stole her and the triplets away from their mama. It’s 1921 and they have spent two years on the road with their Daddy and his traveling elixir show. Since Daddy isn’t making any effort to get the children back to their mama, Chestnut decided it’s up to her to get home. At night while Daddy is sleeping, she makes up fliers telling where they will travel next. She then nails them up all over town, so that Mama can see them, and know where her children will be next.

When that doesn’t work, Chestnut tries something bigger. This time though, it lands Daddy in jail and Mama has to come to the rescue. Chestnut soon learns that not everything is what it seems.

Spies in Disguise: Boy in a Tutu by Kate Scott

Young Joe sure has this spy thing under control! Sure, he has to dress up as a girl and go by the name of Josie to keep his family safe, but his best friend Sam knows the secret, so at least he has someone to talk to. He also gets to play soccer which is an added bonus. Now it’s time for Joe and Sam to be proper spies, gadgets and all!

Their first mission proves to be nothing like what they had imagined. They must go undercover as ballerinas! Joe isn’t thrilled with this new disguise, but he’ll do what he needs to do, to track down the thief of a soccer memorabilia exhibit at the local community center. Even if it means dancing like a flamingo!

Sadly, Joe and Sam have two completely different ways of getting the job done. Once best friends and partners in spying, the boys are now determined to solve this case, APART.
