Women are famous for having those bottomless purses that can carry everything they need on a daily basis. However, when I go out for some good time, I don’t need to carry all that stuff. It’s just too tiring and frustrating go dig through the purse when I’m really in a hurry. There are some essentials I make sure to bring before leaving my house for a night out and check them in my purse.
1. Bubble Gum
Even though I took a shower and brushed my teeth, I just cannot leave the house without some bubble gum. No matter what I eat or drink during the night I have a need for my mouth to feel fresh. Let’s face it, no one likes a bad mouth breath from the person you are talking to, and that’s why you should always have a pack of these.
2. Tissues and Wet Wipes
When heading out for a party, you always have to think ahead. You never know in what condition the toilet will be. That is one of the scariest things for women and you certainly need the tissues. However, these are not for the toilet only. Something might spoil your makeup, you could get your hands dirty from the food, spill the drinks etc. Be prepared to clean yourself no matter what.
3. Backup Makeup
Honestly, some of the parties could get wild or hot and your makeup will get all smudged. That is why I make sure to have backup mascara, lipstick and some powder to fix my face up quickly. Also, don’t forget about a small mirror to help you get your face straight.
4. A cardigan
Nights of partying and drinking are certainly unpredictable. Sometimes, you might have such a good time that you forget about the time and simply spend the night out. However, late night hours can get a bit chillier than the evenings and you will need something to keep you cozy. For such occasions, I like taking a ladies cardigan that can spice up my look and keep me warm.
This is one of the absolute musts in any woman’s purse, no matter where she is heading. Even though you might not need it, someone else could. This happened to me on numerous occasions and it always felt good to help a sister out. However, you don’t want to carry only one tampon. Don’t give away your last one, because you never know when the same need will strike you.
6. An Umbrella
This item is not on the ultimate checklist, but from time to time you will be happy to have it on you when you are out. The weather is unpredictable these days, and you don’t want to be caught up in heavy rain. Sometimes, even the harmless drizzle could spoil your mood, and a stylish small umbrella could save the day.
Change is always handy to have in your wallet. I personally don’t like carrying my credit card around when I am out all night, so I make sure to bring cash and some spare change for the barista’s tip jar. There were even times when I was on my way to meet with friends and really talented street performers put a smile on my face and I was happy I could provide them with some change.
These eight items are the basic things you will need when going out. I have them on a checklist and each time I have to make sure they are all in my purse. If I ran out of some, I stop by the closest store and replenish. Of course items may differ from woman to woman, but I believe we all have the similar backup items in our purses.
