There’s this place to eat called the Spotted horse and it is in Opelousas, La. This one place I want to try to get to for this amazing experience. They will offer you a two places for one, the Tavern, and the Dining Area are in two separated areas. The Spotted Horse Tavern and Dining Parlor has made its debut at Evangeline Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel.

Do you know how they come up with that name? and your experience of likes you have never had before. With all the modern take and the traditional Louisiana flavors, and the beautiful designs and whimsical settings. Will give you the best reasons to visit the Evangeline Downs.

“The Spotted Horse is a dining experience unlike anything else in this region,” said Ted Bogich, Senior Vice President of Operations for Boyd Gaming, owner, and operator of Evangeline Downs. “With modern takes on traditional Louisiana flavors, offered in a beautifully designed and whimsical setting, the Spotted Horse gives customers another great reason to visit Evangeline Downs.

Do you even know where the they came up with this name, it’s an urban legend that a long spotted horse, *a giraffe) had won this race by a neck? There is so much of the restaurant’s flair reflected throughout the new space. This restaurant experience features a tavern, perfect for sipping on the local brew, and enjoying some down home food. And just on the other side the dill service restaurant.

This dining experience will give you a range of Southern charm and innovative dishes. Just to get a start on things there are the chicken and sausage gumbo, sounds really good and then there are the citrus-glazed pork belly and prawns, and crawfish and corn bisque. And we are down in Louisiana we have to try some catfish and the tasty finger licking, country braised short ribs. And there are some amazing selections for dinner for two. Beer can chicken and Angus beef tenderloin, all for two. Let’s not forget those of us with a sweet tooth, there are many desserts and something for all. From the light and cool berries and cream to the rich warm bread pudding. All of this sounds so good.

The restaurant’s signature whimsy shines in the collection of hot sauces. A menu of nearly 20 hot sauces is available for customers to pair with their dishes, including ghost pepper and blueberry, habanero carrot curry, and serrano ginger lemongrass.

The Spotted Horse is the latest installment in an ongoing effort to enhance amenities at Boyd Gaming properties across the country. For more information on this and other projects, visit BoydGaming.com/Amenities.
