When my brother-in-law started to watch the vampire diaries. He was so into Klaus the bad vampire. When he found out that there was going to be a run off called the Orginals he had to watch it.
Klaus, the original vampire/werewolf hybrid, returns to New Orleans — which his family helped build — to investigate rumors of a plot against him, in this spinoff of “The Vampire Diaries.” He finds his former protege, Marcel, reigning powerful over its inhabitants, causing growing tension in the supernatural community. Klaus’ brother, Elijah, joins him, and they learn that werewolf Hayley has fallen into the hands of a defiant witch who has life-changing information. In hope of reclaiming the city, Klaus and Elijah form an uneasy alliance with the witches to help further their cause.
Another awesome show full of so many things. The characters are captivating and they made TVD all the better, more interesting and deliciously darker, This show is richer, darker and more complex. It’s not romance centric — more focused on family and the ties that bind and break. It’s always intriguing, always haunting
The fact that there is always something going on is good, not the same old thing like in the others. Besides these guys are always doing something ro one another, There is always a story line. There is a lot of violence, the main characters are brothers and sisters who were turned by magic into vampires by their mother to keep them safe from werewolves – about 1500 years ago. And it is their story of growing up that dominates the plot.
Finally. Klaus does everything he can to keep his family together. The whole city of New Orleans goes crazy when hope is finally revealed. Hayley has unified the Wolf’s and is their Queen. Old siblings rise from the dead, Esther returns, and even Mikael “The Destroyer/ The Vampire who Kills Vampires” is resurrected by the Witch Davina, she “thinks she can control him.” A long lost Sibling is revealed and the Families ultimate enemy emerges as none other than their Aunt Dahlia. Great twists, mini stories within stories that make this a tremendous show.
