Most of us know the story written by the legendary English Author Joseph Rudyard Kipling’s 1894 children’s adventure masterpiece novel “The Jungle Book,” and the Disney animated movie plus tv series that came in the 20th century. A young boy is abandoned and left to be raised by noble wild animals in the jungle.
The young boy is watched over in particular by a gallant pack of wolves, and a heroic sagacious black panther who knows this “man cub” is a special one. The boy has to be taught, protected, but yet also set out on a physical trial of his own to survive against the creature who is Hell bent on hunting him down, the mighty Bengal Tiger “Sher Khan.”

Critically acclaimed, Jon Favreau’s stunning live-action reimagining of Walt Disney’s animated classic will be available early on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere on August 23, and on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, and On-Demand on August 30.
