While you are doing your laundry, cooking supper, breaking up fights sometimes parents feel lost. We put pressure on ourselves to do everything the right way. While raising good and proper kids. Sometimes you may lose sight of what is important as parents. This book talks about patience, forgiveness, the gospel, character and so many other attributes that we want to help our children learn.
The Grace Of God Can Shape Everything
This life-giving book Paul Tripp gives us so much more than a to do list. Offering us a big picture of God’s plan for us. Outlining fourteen foundational principles that are centered on the gospel. Letting us know that we need more in our lives that the latest strategy or parenting technique. We need the grace of God. The grace that has the power to shape everything we do in our lives, including being the best parent we can be. Giving us the freedom to embrace a grand perspective of being a parent with vision, purpose and joy.
This world we live in now is getting away from Christianity and believing in God. I really liked the fact that this book encourages you and your child to live a better life and to believe. To accept yourself for who we are. While realizing everything we do today makes a difference in our children’s lives. We need to talk about God often and answer all questions that we can. If we don’t know the answer then go to the Bible together and figure it out. We parents are instruments of God’s grace in our children’s lives. We have to take some pressure off of ourselves because we have to remember – God changes our children. Not us! So give yourself a break and take a deep breath and pray.
