Safe Driving Tips for Teens
It is quite exciting when you finally get your hands on the steering wheel – something that you had been wishing for ever since your dad took you for a spin around the block! Driving a car is a heavenly experience, especially when you have good company beside you.

However, it always helps to exercise caution, which is why you have to keep these safety tips in mind:

Ideally you should keep your mobile off while driving. While hands-free is a safe alternative, you can never be too careful. If you can’t switch off the phone, remember to pull over if you get a call or a text message. Checking the screen while driving can be fatal for you – several accidents have occurred this way. Some states have prohibited the use of cell phones while driving (some places pose this limit on drivers of a certain age).
On rainy and cloudy days, drive with headlights on, so other drivers or people on the road can see you clearly. This is a must if you are driving on roads without sufficient light during the evening or at night. Unimpaired visibility is a must in such cases.
Did you know that speeding is responsible for almost 40% of all fatal teen accidents? Adhere to a speed limit – you don’t need to show off that you can drive at high speeds as if you are competing in a Formula 1 race! Following rules will prevent you from paying off costly traffic tickets as well.
