A wonderful season, and the addition of Rowena made it even more intriguing.Started watching this in the mornings while everyone else slept, use to watch the sister witches and wanted to see what this was about.
They finally made Mark Sheppard a full time character as Crowley and of course Misha Collins was brought back as a full time character as well. These two really bring the humor to the series! Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles of course are amazing in the season as well. Dean still has the mark of Cain and has to figure out how to get rid of it before he turns into a Demon again, but is torn because the only way to get rid of the scar is to transfer it to someone else. I really enjoyed that they had a lot more monster episodes this season, maybe too many vampire episodes my brother in law liked all of that , but not me so much. Also… its been ten years, any couple who hasn’t figured out how to be honest with each other after all that time is just stupid. Seriously, why do these two always feel like they have to keep secrets?!
The relationship between the brothers has matured and deepened, and they continue to put the fun in dysfunction, They are some of my favorite characters of all time. They are at the same time broken and heroic, strong yet vulnerable, with a highly complicated relationship to each other, watching this makes me thing of the bond I have with my older brother.
Year 10 was not about an epic battle between the brothers and a big bad, but all about brothers and their own demons. That’s not to say they are not up against it like always, they are and some of the new enemy’s have made for great episodes. But know all of that is complicated by Dean and the mark of Cain. The mark effects everything that they do this year, everyone in their life and makes it all so much more complicated because it not just about killing monsters and saving people, but about trying to save Deans soul and not just his life from the world’s oldest curse. All season you see Dean battle against becoming the very thing he fights against, and his slow realization that he might not win. Jensen Ackles did a great job of portraying this, and this season is his finest performance to date We cannot wait for seaon 11 its going to be as good. .
