This Spring, Add Epsom Salts into Your Beauty Regimen

You totally read that right. My home doesn’t function without Epsom Salts. Myself and the Epsom Salt Council want you to know more about incorporating it into your life as well.

Boost Your Beauty Regimen with Epsom Salts

I use Epsom Salts to make relaxing salt soaks, bath bombs, salt scrubs and so much more. Even my son gets in on the fun and helps out. He won’t take a bath with “my salts!” Today I’m going to share a recipe with you from Ole Henrikson and the Epsom Salt Council. I’ll add in one of mine too.

Shower Smoothie

What you’ll need

  •  a bowl
  • Epsom Salts
  • Coffee Grounds
  • Eucalyptus oil
  • Sesame Oil

In a bowl mix four ounces (half a cup) of Epsom Salt, four ounces of coffee grounds. Once they are mixed well, add one TEASPOON of Eucalyptus Oil, and enough Sesame oil to form a paste. You can put it into a jar for storage. When you get into the shower, wet your skin, and then scrub your entire body with the Epsom Salt paste you made. Rinse off, and enjoy. Your skin will be glowing, and feel so much smoother! You’ll also notice an immediate lifting and constricting of your skin. (I make a scrub very similar to this myself, and my mother and sister love it as much as I do.)

Lemon Hand and Body Scrub is Perfect for Spring and Summer

What You’ll Need

  • Epsom Salts
  • Shea Butter
  • 1/3 cup of oil (you can use any oil here Vegetable, Olive, etc. I prefer Sunflower because it’s a lighter oil.)
  • Lemon Zest (I use about 1/2 a cup)
  • Optional: Lavender Essential oil

In a bowl, add half a cup of Shea Butter. Using a whisk, my it around so it’s a bit fluffy. Add in your oil and Lemon Zest, (Lavender Essential Oil if you’re using that,) and mix. Now add 2/3 cup of Epsom Salt. Mix well. Store in a jar. I keep some by my kitchen sink, and some next to my bath tub. To use, just scoop some into your palm, scrub into your hands or body, and rinse. That’s it! I use it after I wash dishes to moisturize my hands, and every night after my bath to exfoliate and moisturize my skin. It’s amazing, and the best part, it’s ALL NATURAL!
