I smell amazing and my dry skin is gone thanks to C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries! Kelly came to us and asked if anyone would like to try out their Rose Perfume Oil and No. 12 Rose Salve, and I was so excited to get the chance. Of course I love anything rose, from the way they look to the way the smell, so this was perfect for me. Also, I’m really into being as natural as possible with products that my family uses. (Yes, we still take prescribed medications, and I still use some regular household cleaners, but the majority of our bathing and skin care products are all natural.)
When the perfume and salve came, I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. I opened the Rose Perfume Oil first, and I LOVED how the lid had a glass wand for applying the oil to your skin. I applied mine behind my ears, on my neck and on my wrists. Oh my goodness it smells AMAZING! I can’t even put into words how lovely it smells. Just trust me when I say it smells like fresh bloomed roses. If you love roses like I do, then you won’t be disappointed. You get .25 fluid ounces in the vial, and it retails for $15.00 on their website.
Next up to try was the No. 12 Rose Salve. This is perfect for any dry areas of skin. You can use it on your face, lips, elbows, heels, cuticles, or anywhere you have rough, scaly skin. I used some on my cuticles after I gave myself a manicure. It felt so nice. I also applied some to my nasty rough heels, and was amazed at how well it nourished my skin. It has a light rose scent, but isn’t too feminine, so the men in your house can use it as well. As a matter of fact, my husband has a bad burn scar on his leg, that is always so dry and itchy. I handed it to him to use, and of course, he had to sniff it first. He agreed it smelled nice, but “not too girly,” and he applied it to his scar. He said it felt great. The No. 12 Rose Salve comes in a nice .8 ounce tin, and retails for $5.50.
C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries has MANY great products to choose from. You don’t have to take my word for it, you can head to their website, or even visit their store in person in New York City. You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter.
